I ventured into sculpturing looking for a different medium. Papier mach'e is a versatile material that is strong, durable and is an ecologically responsible art form. Each one is handmade and an original design. I hope you enjoy my papier mash'e characters as much as I do making them. This photo was my 2010 collection. I'll be adding my 2011 spring, fall and winter characters individually and their prices.

Hand Painted Slate Plaques

You are looking for something with a personalized touch. These hand painted slates are especially for you. Each one is a natural product which contains it's own natural texture and characteristics. Some slates have a extra hole or two. This is where the nails used to be when the slate were on someone's roof.
The slates are washed and cleaned up to be painted. No stencils or stamps are used! Slates that you order may vary slightly from each other, as they are individually painted by hand.

My Whimsical Papier Mach'e Characters

I create one-of-a-kind whimsical papier mach'e characters. Each piece is built over a armature then given a unique coat of paint and antiqued. I have a spring line of bunnies. These bunnies are painting eggs and are sitting on oversized hollowed out carrots that can be used as a candy box. The fall papier mach'e characters are dressed up for Halloween and are doing tricks for their treats. I also have a winter line of vintage looking snowmen, angels and Saint Nicks.
